Thee Headcoats, teve suas atividades de 1989 - 2000, foi uma banda composta por Billy Childish, Brand Bruce e Johnny Johnson. Childish na guitarra e vocais, Brand Bruce na bateria e backing vocals, e Johnson no baixo. A banda lançou 14 álbuns. Formada em Kent, na Inglaterra no final de 1980, a banda ficou conhecida por seu autêntico rock de garagem, gravada de forma explícita que adere a este formato em quase todos os seus álbuns. O som da banda teve sua criatividade atribuída ao Childish nas gravação, simples e diretas. A banda teve vários selos, incluindo registros próprios de Billy Hangman Records e Pop Sub.

A banda fez seu último show em 12 de maio de 2000 no Dirt Water Club. Billy Childish passou a tocar com os Medways Buff em 1999 até 2006, assim dando um ponto final aos fabulosos Thee Headcoats.
